Well, Getting one, depends on the exact condition. Mine was restored 6 years ago and is due for another restoration soon! I bought mine for about $4000 as a sad little yellow car that needed LOTS of Tender Loving Care.
I have about $14,000 into mine and I did all the work myself, with the help of my Husband & Daughter.
I would be HAPPY to help you find one.
You are looking at around $4000 to $8000 to buy one (Could be less if it does not run tho), and to find one with the unique part of an automatic (Since they never came with them) could be a little more difficult.
I am guessing you live in the Rogue Valley? I live in Shady Cove, where do you live? I am happy to do anything I can to help you find the perfect Metropolitan; and steer you away from the sad ones!
The little CORAL (or you call it peach) one in Gold Hill belongs to my friend Robert, he is older & restored it himself, and much like you he has a disability, he has Parkinson’s Disease. His is not an automatic either tho.
